50 has the smoothest voice ngl
if anybody did this hook it would be laughable but 50 pulled it off because of his country twang
i know doc dre didn't make the list before The Notorious
i'd say he's THE most recognizable voice
Only if youre an east coast baby
Ranking other men's voices?!
you can do a female list too. i'd put foxy in there
Lowkey, Ludacris had an amazing voice too. Every time he spat, he caught your attention.
Only if youre an east coast baby
maybe so, but uncle snoop was second on my list.
Pac, Dre, Scarface, DMX & Mystikal
I feel Snoop's tone of voice & inflection is very reminiscent of a lot of other west coast pimp rappers.
50 Cent, Cam'Ron, Method Man, Ice Cube & Juicy J are second tier
Those are my picks of a mix of unique, recognizable & dope voices.

Face is not mainstream enough but also not too obscure for most people nowadays smh even tho hes a legend, think him mainly staying quite out of his prime is the main thing.
He's in my top 10 tho & his solo run up to the fix, his voice was crazy.
Biggie, Rick Ross, lil wayne/Snoop (although i think snoops image is bigger than the voice), Pimp C & E40 would probably be tier 3 of the honorable mentions.
Push

At least they're all-time classics tho, & those Shabazz Palaces albums are incredible as well. Hot take but I'll take either of Digable Planets albums over The Score.

there's something very painful about his voice that makes the stories he tells very convincing. makes you feel like you're listening to someone who was truly there when s*** hit the fan. E-40 might get s*** here and there for being a local legend and not transcending the bay, but i don't think anybody can debate how distinctive and recognizable his vocals are

Voice & inflection is a major part for me personally in rap.
Its part of the reason why rappers such as dmx, rick ross, pusha t, scarface, kanye, ice cube, jay z, 2pac & kendrick are my own top 10 (not in order). While 10th place fluxuates between 50 cent, camron & spice 1 for me.
Also one of the reasons why i dont like big sean & find j cole ok.

that's true. i'm grateful for everything we've got. I'm 100% with you on that. That jazzy vibe is more my flavor.
Blowout Comb >> The Score. All day everyday

E40 is like a Rapper's Rapper (a lot of rappers love n respect him since the 90s), but im from the bay and grew up during the hyphy era so i have real exposure to him. Also how he punkd Biggie is still legendary to this day lmao.
Him along with Tech N9ne & MF Doom were the first ones to create the indie blueprint & make it viable too, 40 being the 1st out the 3.
Not as much of a fan of 40s todays work, but his work from the mid 90s to mid 2000s is heat.
And yeah his s*** is def recognizable n unique. His flow n wordplay are hugely influential to Rap in general too.
