I love the discourse around this beef and I’m a willing participant in it. We are on a music message board not a criminal justice forum. I never thought the beef thread should be closed, even though I know it’s a headache for the moderators to weed out the offensive posts.

I think there’s a strong chance this lawsuit is directly linked to the beef. I don’t know that for a fact. Maybe this lawsuit comes out right now even if FPS and Like That never existed and the beef never happened. I’m not saying this lawsuit is just a chess move in the beef nor am I denying these women’s real traumas and need for justice. But to act as if this has no connection to or meaning in the beef is a naive take. Aside from its obvious relevance in the beef discourse/debate, there is a real chance drake is boosting these women somehow through back channels.

So it’s the “don’t make this about the beef” posts that annoy me. The only reason we are discussing this lawsuit is because it’s related to Kendrick. I’m sure there are a thousand workplace sexual harassment/assault suits in this country every month. We are discussing this one because of Kendrick who just so happened to accuse drakes camp of being sexual predators very recently. People will say it’s immature to make this about the beef. I say it’s naive and immature to stifle that aspect of it.
