Watched the first movie a few weeks ago with my girl cause she hadn't seen it yet. And last night I went with her to the cinema. We both liked it, I just thought it had too many cheesy moments, but I'm probably the only one thinking this
Nod to the 80s
The world needs cheesy
Good point
When they were arguing during the double helix or scorpion maneuver thats all I could think of
Would rather they leave it at the two. Maverick might have really been lighting in a bottle
Feel like a third one would have to be Miles as the main character without having any Cruise
Just to separate it from the other two.
The world needs cheesy
But y’all say it’s bad when capeshit does it

Because they don't do it well. 99% of the time it's ill timed as f*** and over done. And this particular story is already a more serious one so a little humor or on the nose dramaticness to it gives it a certain flavor that still keeps it on the good side.
Capeshit is already a goofy ass medium of mfs in pajamas. The cheese is inherent. Out of all the modern joints that try to be funny or cheesy successfully the only capeshit that is solid is Incredibles.

Idc I just want more high budget fighter jet movies this s*** is real life gundam I love it. Wish we could get a period piece get like a Korean War movie with some of the first jet fighter dogfights
In the case of “Top Gun: Maverick,” still flying high at nearly $1.2 billion at the global box office, sources estimate that Cruise will net $100 million or more from ticket sales, his salary and his eventual cut of home entertainment rentals and streaming revenue.
scientology winning
