These 3 songs alone are better than your AOTY (probably CLB or Donda)

An Evening With Silk Sonic is like the only other good mainstream album from 2021 I can think of. Bad year for music

Life of a don up there with alone at prom don toliver and tory both delivered better albums than all of the big 3 and kanye these last 2 years

with all due respect if you think there were only two good albums that dropped in a year…do you see why people might not take your AOTY pick super seriously?

Sorry I don’t listen to every single album mate. I’ll start going out of my way to listen to genres I don’t enjoy just so my opinions can be better informed

None of these songs are better than anything in my Top 10 from that year.

Also, your opinion proves to hold absolutely zero value when you genuinely believe that only two good albums were released in a 12 month period

My AOTY is what I consider the best. S*** that I’m still running back even at the end of 2022. I’m not gonna be like the rest of you and sit around watching Fantano videos and pretending like I listen to all kinds of s*** that I’m not even interested in for brownie points on KTT

Alone at Prom is very, very good. Calling it AOTY is not criminal

You’d be surprised how good he sounds live without all of that.

I think it suits these songs in particular. Creates an ambiance. Sounds and feels cinematic to me

I also like these two but as a whole I think Tory’s album is way better.

Donda and Planet Her have crazy highs though.

The thing with Tory is that he does Drake and Weeknd impersonations REALLY REALLY WELL, and that’s honestly good enough to rank him highly. But he has no real defining sound of his own. There’s nothing you can point to specifically that is unique about him. And that’s why he’s not Top 10.

Tory Lanez is not top ten at anything. Lovable guy tho. But musically there is no impact whatsoever.

Remove him from the game the past decade and absolutely nothing changes.
