Y'all misunderstood me, my problem is that a lot of songs getting boring after a while because they aren't catchy, and while the raps are good there aren't any memorable moments for me. This s*** is like listening to someone freestyling for 1 hour, and he is very good at it, but there's 4-5 good songs that i saved from this album. On the other hand detroit 2 is my second fav album this year, and that's very bar orianteted too, but still got a lot of personality and diverse production, nice hooks etc.. and u need to have a likeable personality too, if u want people to really listen to what you say so yeah..

Oh yeah I get what you mean. Bars can be used for catchiness even without a hook though. I think that a good enough rap song should make the listener want to rap along the whole way through. A lot of people can spit but only a few can really write SONGS.
