He's legit profiting off these artist songs for the first time in the Chixtape series.
Which means he needs permission to even use the beats, its actually a really nice gesture to have them feature on it in exchange for them literally allowing him to make money off their hit songs.

They would be eating regardless since they as the artist need to give him permission to use their record in the first place. In which case, more often than not, is for a monetary gain. Sometimes profiting even more than the artist who’s sampling the record to begin with.
