    if the individuals making up these playlists don't want him on there I don't see what the wrongdoing is

    these playlists do need governmental oversight tho because they're way too influential at this point

    Streaming services should be autonomous. They shouldn’t favor Def Jam or favor Warner, they can’t choose sides and what they’re doing although might not be illegal it’s unethical

    I don't think Spotify or Apple Music has anything to do with any of this, these guys really just don't care about hip hop artists being violent or whatever. It's still really nonsensical to expect them to be autonomous when they either have huge deals with record labels (AM, Youtube, etc.) or are literally owned by them (Spotify).

    I think what's happening here is that most hip hop related playlist makers are affiliated with Roc Nation and Meg is a Roc artist. Individuals coming to their own decisions and taking away an artist they don't like off their platform isn't a big deal, a call coming from the Roc demanding every playlist maker to take out one of their competitor is definitely a big no no though.

    Government should eventually start treating them like radio stations, that's the only solution.
