My feelings on this go as far as “sucks for him”. Like it’s f***ed up, but was avoidable on his part so now this is just the life he gave himself. The way I see it, people have been trying their best to fight ignorance with actual structure and sound moral principles for centuries without any luck, and they’ve been disappointed and let down so much so they’ve decided to just devolve into fighting ignorance with the same ignorance. Which is understandable, but it’s still essentially quitting and settling for never changing anyone’s mind who would probably otherwise be on their side if they weren’t saying such weird things
