What a time to be a Kendrick fan

AOTY's list is way too basic and Poptimistic. The Metacritic one just offers a little more versatility but is more or less the same thing. Too many albums that just weren't the best work by the artist, or artists who shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Lemonade for the most part just sounds like Beyonce covering a bunch of machine generated examples of how a variety of genres should sound. It's good.. but top 3 of the decade? Anti is like a 7/10.. solid album with a few great songs but it's not some mindblowing masterpiece.

2016 had blackSUMMERS'nights, Malibu, Yes Lawd, We Are KING, The Heart Speaks in Whispers, Cloak and so on. Albums that ppl who actually delved deep into R&B were aware of and in terms of quality basically blow both of those albums out of the water.

A huge problem publications have nowadays is that they all praise the same few artists and albums. They also focus on stuff that have nothing to do with the actual product.
