I saw this video on YouTube that talks about the progression of music in the 2000s and dude mentioned that after 9/11 people were going to dance clubs more than ever. This is how Future S***Love Sounds actually came to fruition as Danja put it. It was only a matter of time before hip hop got a hold of it but I think FSLS really influenced A LOT including this like you said.

Edit: He also said that after 9/11 clubs in Atlanta were going off too which resulted in Crunk/Snap music and that would basically birth ringtone rap

Great point. Post-9/11 is also a huge thing in film too that’s why you saw so many blockbusters in the 2000s come out. People want that escapism.

This idea of escapism is also why dark sounding trap music has died out post-Covid and fun poppier music has taken hold of the top of the charts

Facts. History is repeating itself. That’s why EDM/Dance is taking over again. It’s funny cause Justin is supposed to drop FSLS 2 which could be a great way for him to make a successful comeback right now lol
