If you compare the singles from Stoney that released before the album to the rest of the songs on the Album, they have a pretty different sound. I'm guessing the label wanted him to go in a slightly different direction than his 2015 singles so they scrapped the album he had planned. Would explain why he dropped August 26th, I think the scrapped album turned into that.
