Not at all. Guatemala City is probably the most dangerous main city otherwise it’s very calm and safe, obviously stay away from slums and don’t be out alone late at night but I have yet to feel unsafe/uneasy and I’ve been here a week. Everyone is very nice and polite and the majority of locals are quite religious and just want to work and enjoy their lives
