I don't dislike the song, classic

BUT I think Mase got him

Tbh it feels like that rare time hat Biggie sounds like he's trying to catch up with the beat while Mase sounds so effortless

He also isn't Rapping with so much clarity on it too tbh, idk if it's a him issue or a mic issue cuz Mase sounds way cleaner and clearer - maybe a mix of both

Still a classic and good song but this was a new thought - I haven't heard the song in a long time and it stuck out hard to me this time for the first

I know old heads hate the shiny suit era of Diddy and what he did to Mase n Lox that started with Biggie with MMMP - but I also know younger gens like ours look at the era more favorably

I wonder tho if my new notice is part of their gripe with that era, and wonder if it's a beat Big did to probably please Puff even tho it wasn't his speed (like how Puff "forced" Big to do Juicy, although Big smoked that)

Mase killed it, always loved his verse but nah B.I.G was the anchor. His verse is classic and he cuts through the most on some “big bro” s*** compared to Mase. Mase set the tone but B.I.G completes the song.
