Show me an example of a houston song that sounds like the rocky song I posted. Rocky was the first artist putting low pitched vocals over trap beats. Which is different than slowed down chopped and screwed music from houston to me.
An artist whose proven to be influenced by Houston doing something that closely resembles Houston still comes down to Houston influence, even if he did it a lil differently

A lot of his early stuff sounded like Kanye and Cudi rip-offs but who didn't sound like their influences early in their rap careers? You could do this with any rapper's early work. Travis eventually found his own sound that's nothing like Rocky's so I wouldn't say he stole his swag or anything

I think the craziest thing about it when it comes to Rocky and Travis, especially with those two songs as examples, Rocky still manages to actually say some real and heartfelt s*** in his songs unlike Travis.

Became one of my favorite Trav songs instantly just off the fact it felt like it was coming from a real place. Rodeo was him at his most relatable. Rocky's just the better lyricist of the two, he's more old school with his flows and expressiveness.
