I’m so happy that music is so popping rn because if it wasn’t the wait for this would be so painful
As of now since the last album this is a year longer than what carti fans had to wait from die lit to WLR and just 1 year less than what frank ocean fans had to wait from channel orange to blonde

Damn when you frame it like that it’s actually crazy :word:

Testament to the longevity of Astroworld and his other commercial ventures that his presence hasn’t dwindled one bit

UTOPIA going to be massive at this point, he’s been working on it for so long

Travis always has a very good gauge of album length

But I'm hoping this is 18 tracks, he must have a lot of material

100% hes in his own lane and he never stays stagnant in the same sound every album sounds different, you can tell when someone bites him how much worse it comes off than Travis

    Very unique talent

    Trav in a difficult spot

Kendrick rumoured for October and then Adele in early November

Maybe I'm chatting pure bullshit, but I feel like with the recent Keem collab, Travis has a good relationship with Kdot's team, so maybe they have communicated about releases

The end of this month / early October presents itself as a optimal period for release, but if it isn't ready by then, then yeah damn, push it to Spring 2022

I'd happily wait but I feel like that wouldn't do Travs image any favours

Adele and Trav have no crossover, only thing that would get her in his way is if we consider meaningless accolades

    He’s still gonna push 500

Yeah that's true, totally different demographics

I meant more so going after #1 first-week

But as you say, that will happen regardless

    500k would be insane

I'm feeling more 410-450k just because bundles are gone for him this time round

Travis Scott, fresh off a VMAs win for “Franchise,” is giving music-hungry fans an overview of what his upcoming new album has been designed to inspire within its listeners.

In a new cover feature for Carine Roitfeld’s CR Men, a limited run of which will hit stands in select cities on Sept. 16, La Flame outlines his take on what it would mean to truly live in a “utopian state” while also hinting at how these thoughts will be filtered through his lens on the fittingly titled new album Utopia.

“Medicine, nursing, being a better person, talking, language, communication—you know, a utopian state. That’s what my album is about,” Scott told CR Men of Utopia, which is widely expected to be released before year’s end. Continuing, Scott reflected on the “dystopian s***” that’s defined the past several years and questioned why it’s sustained for so long.

“You think utopia is a society where everything is good: health, buildings, architecture—nah. It’s just about proper lines of communication,” he said. “Because that’s the dystopian s*** we’re in right now. It’s all hate, hate, hate, and all of that is drawn from what? Miscommunication, non-communication, non-understandable communication, ignorance to communication. ‘I don’t like this person.’ Why? Because somebody told me something to not like this person? Because in history I read to not like this person? Why?”
