No lies... what he needs to do is to put em on streaming

  • Aug 9, 2022

    Yes he was great,

Astroworld was also a great album (i like it better than Rodeo) but it def set the tone for what the rest of his music would sound like after

Agree. Astroworld is fun, but it’s not as special as DBR & rodeo

    definitely his 2 strongest projects.

his work has gotten considerably lazier and much more generic since then. most of astroworld did show that he is still very capable though save for the amount of needless filler so I’m still looking forward to hearing whatever he has put these last 4 years into (despite the recent singles lol)

    DBR era was crazy

    He was eating features too

Rodeo best album of the 2010s idc
I’m terms of his discog id rank it Rodeo > Owl Pharaoh > Astroworld > DBR > BITTSM

  • Aug 9, 2022

i listened to rodeo for the first time awhile ago and i didn't really see why he was being called a genius or groundbreaking in all honesty

    it's a cool album

The anticipation for RODEO is still unmatched.

  • Dbr era was nuts. Whole tape was on repeat

  • Aug 9, 2022

Rodeo was his peak but I still enjoy his music

  • I don't like that his music post 2015 sounds very polished and clean. I liked the wild rawness that OP, DBR, and Rodeo had.

  • Aug 9, 2022

Rodeo and Astroworld are equally amazing to me and a step above his other projects

i thought OP was sooooo ass outside of Bandz, Quintana and Upper Echelon

man idk s*** on you, hell of a night, MIA, uptown, and drive are all really good to me

He didn't get worse. The stuff after birds just became more polished and less experimental. Even though it's a meme the sound was DARK, i remember during rodeo era this one journalist said he thought trav's music was borderline scary. His music is a lot more palatable now and doesn't reach the heights his older work did but it's far from bad. I do think after hearing Mafia and Lost Forever that Utopia will be better than Astroworld

    not nostalgic.

~2013-14 i thought travis was the future, a new gen super producer/performer - the next Kanye(sort of). And after Rodeo i really thought it was going to happen. i thought we had it...
i guess in terms of fame & wealth he lived up to that but as an artist?

crazy how hard he peaked with Rodeo. i swear anybody stanning him now wasn't around in that 2013-15 era. s*** was different back then.
what we thought he was gonna be vs what he became idk how you could be stanning him rn

    its both tbh

its nostalgia goggles but his music just was better at that time
