It gets overlooked when talking about Rick Ross and his discography but Trilla is the rare 2nd album that doubles down on the things that made his debut successful all the while expanding his repertoire.
I'd even venture to say it's a more important album then Deeper Then Rap or Teflon Don. Trilla solidifies Ross as a bonafide star and is one of his most consistent albums.
This is the album that made him a boss
here i am is sooo good thanks op i forgot about it
@op
He got into that grown and sexy bag on this album and never looked back
All i have in this world still one of my favourite rick ross songs, he is flowing over that mannie fresh beat
it's far from a masterpiece. that's third tier ross
Has more classic Ross records then any single project that came after it.
He hadn't evolved lyrically but this album sets the blueprint for the rest of Ross' discography.

i think deeper than rap was truly the blueprint for the rest of his discography. trilla was a small snapshot of what he had in mind though

I used to always think that but Trilla expands Port Of Miami's sound and Deeper Then Rap.just refined it.
The songs in the OP are all definitive Ross hits.
Revisit Trilla. Its aged way better then POM.
