I liked Saint Michael a lot but this is his strongest LEAD single in a while if you ask me
this is what the streets needed

You really think he did all that as an attempt into.getting a buzz and not just cause he wanted too? Lol it'd fine to not like it but it's dismissive. He just likes to make all those types of music.

Also you can suggest based on the person, for.ykunger people TAK is their go to with trippie for older people who like RnB s*** its Pegasus strange enough. Aounclpud fans it's allty series, meth heads it's MM, middle America is the Saint Michael Ep, white people who don't like modern rap but are like 17 years old, the mgk ep. Etc
The fun in having a variety of projects is plenty to choose from. All may not be your cup of tea but he not trying to do anything but make music
At 1:34 he tried a mid-song switch to a deeper voice like Carti on 2024
You're ed, it's a young thug inflection like he did on yell oh and 4 of their other collaboration and Aquafina (leak from 2019) where he does that deep voice s*** as a homage to thug, carti is not the forefather of that s***, maybe to anyone under 23

ppl always wanna d***ride Carti and act like Trippie is copying him, as if Carti wasn’t asking Trip to write songs for him
Trippie never gets his credit

Unfortunately he won't but as a fan I've accepted it.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Trippie, I’ll always peep his new stuff, and i’ve always found something enjoyable across all of his projects apart from MM, because that was absolute indefensible garbage
And yeah, it’s cool he has such a variety, but just because he can channel other styles, doesn’t necessarily mean he does it particularly well
He can pretend all he wants that he isn’t chasing hits or commercial success, but let’s be real, none of his projects since TAK have been received positively by listeners

Having said that, I thought Saint Michael EP was a step in the right direction, some really great tracks on that, and it was an example of him making a more balanced, cohesive project that still managed to demonstrate the variety in his sound

Too bad it was just a 2 part EP

It's over. He had a good run though, much longer than anyone else from his era. It's wild when you realize he's 6 years deep now

It's never over lol he ain't even 26, I hate a it's over narrative for certain artists especially those with fanbases from strictly music. He's doing fine, all about rebuilding even if the public thinks there's a fall off

Carti?
