krishna boundim not sure if i think whats going on is as extreme as some people are suggesting but i do think something happened - it could be that he had just a fall or something rather than something more medically extreme(stroke, blood clot, etc). The only real thing that at this point is pointing against something having happened is that he's still active on Truth Social, but this doesn't really mean much because it's been shown that even prior to this many of his posts are by staffers. His low profile is an anomaly for his entire presidency (including first term) and he has never been shy of antagonizing press during unpopular decisions. The fact during this time there hasn't been news about him meeting with anyone is also weird, as in prior times where he would be out of the white house for extended periods of time he'd usually at least meet with aides, cabinet, etc. I'm not sure if he's "dying" but there is some type of health scare going on here, it's completely out of his normal behavior to be this withdrawn

I think its clear they see Vance as a successor tho. They basically said as much during the last CPAC and he has notable backing.
If Vance has to replace Trump mid-term I'd say he definitely has a chance at reelection because he gets incumbency that the GOP doesn't have with Trump. The downfall of Trump-centric GOP to a Vance-Rubio ticket might boost them even further for all we know. If we're stuck with the same boring Democrat picks they have a chance.
Worth mentioning again that a Vance "re-election" would still just count as his first election and term. He'd again be eligible to run in 2032. This is why they put a 40 year old there

Pretty sure if VP ascends to President within the first 2 years, it counts as one of their terms.
