White people are only doing this cause they never on the road, they don’t care if robot trucks kill a black family cause of a malfunction, as long as they don’t have to pay a Mexican minimum wage anymore

2035 is just a goofy number to throw out there. Won’t even be close to “all jobs being taken”

    Ok lol

Are u 12? Do you actually have any real job experience that isn’t entry level?

Try to be a little smarter. Not even HALF of the jobs in this world will be automated in 15 years lol.

Yea I’ve read plenty on the topic. I know numerous people who work very high level tech & some even design.

Even that headline is sorta deceptive as it says 14% over the next decade or two in the article.

All are guesses but most seem to think by 2050 about half of jobs could be gone. Which is obviously a huge problem, but ultimately there’s tons of jobs that simply won’t be touched for a long ass time.

I didn’t once say I didn’t care or that I haven’t thought of alternatives/solutions. I simply laughed at your hilarious statement that “all jobs will be gone by 2035”.

Try not to be someone that puts words in others mouths, thanks.

Easy to find another job being a cashier at minimum wage. For us truckers, imagine making as much as we do and then trying find another job at the same salary without training first smh

Even if you get a training you're gonna make as much as a teenager who just started out

It’s a tough problem because give it 30-40 years and humongous economic impact will be occurring. Sure some jobs will be created but it won’t be a 1 to 1 ratio so ultimately still massive job lost.

Not sure UBI is really THE solution although I do support it. Problem is the people who own the machines will be making extreme profit and if u go with Yang idea for instance 12k a year is nothing.

  • Feb 4, 2020

They need to fire all the people working on the machines and hire truck drivers and train them as engineers, the fired people can easily find a new engineeeing job whereas truckers have no alternative and are willing to train and know a lot more about trucking
