Thought the trailer for this looked really great. Seems like they're going with a The Thing/ lovecraftian horror mix for this season. Really excited

Binged S3 this weekend. For some reason I thought I'd seen it, but I never had. Loved the callout to S1. Wonder if there will be any minor links to S4

Only now seeing the teaser for this loool. I feel like the narrative around the latter seasons of this show needs changing. Yes S1 was a masterwork and set such an unattainable bar for the rest of the show but to act like S2 or S3 were anything short of good is crazy.

Going to do a rewatch of S2+S3 soon but from what I remember I really liked them

No way man check it out, if anything for the stacked cast alone and their performances.

S2 fr one of the hardest falloffs of a show ever, it deserves the hate.
Only good thing about s2 was Velcoro.

The dream death sequence with his dad telling him "they cut you to pieces" and "you got here first " was probably my favorite scene from the season

Nic said Ali's character in season 3 is thee true detective even over marty and rust

definitely worth the watch, lot of lowlights for sure but Vince vaughn/mcadams/Farrell (especially) are all amazing and the mystery is legitimately interesting too
