Two years after the surprise success of his debut Cole World: Sideline Story fans were hungry and curious about his next album. With the Truly Yours EP, Cole returned to his storytelling roots and introduced us to new tales from his past and perspectives from troubled youth. This was meant to be an appetizer for his upcoming sophomore album, Born Sinner.

To start off, he rapped beautifully over the soulful song Zion by Lauryn Hill. With this much-needed reintroduction fans were reacquainted with Cole’s unique lyrical abilities and masterful introspection.

The original songs off FNL and the best cuts off SS would of been a great debut

And the songs from truly yours mixed with the best songs from born sinner would of a great follow up
