Rick and Morty is good but isn’t as originally written as this or UA. it tries to play both sides of meta humor

Not hating but out of curiosity why do you think this is originally written

I feel like Rick and Morty one of the most originally written shows

Hard to explain but the way it goes off the deep end with its fantasies is like Tim and Eric meets Scrubs but even crazier. R&M doing fine though and I will admit I was underrating how well it was written.

I’ve watched this show a little bit and I think it’s kind of like a comfort show. Like not the most original or knock it out the park sorta ideas but it sort of has this appeal where you just enjoy the characters doing their own thing and living their lives since my assumption is they’re all between 25 and 35 (my age group) and can be mildly relatable

I guess it’s like nothing too serious ever happens in the show and sometimes that can be like one of the most comforting things about watching a piece of media? But yh

Mission Hill and Daria did it better

Daria was dope for the writing and actually having compelling stories but idk if I’d put them in the same category

Would you say this show is socially aware or relevant at the same level as Daria and is even trying to be? It just seems like a goofball kinda show
