yea it's not that it's "bad" per se, for what it is I 100% like nine vicious's music, it just makes you wonder what could be there instead of the references. look at his label boss Thug, he paid homage naming his project Barter 6, but still had some of the most iconic (B6), boundary-pushing (Jeffery) album covers in the game. that's what I want from my most creative artists

he may have done a good job with the Pac one (havent listened yet), and its good to see the growth in that, but in the past like I didn't feel or see the connection to Prince with B4TM, or to MJ with Studio Addict. He sampled like 4 kanye songs, might as well have remade the Graduation cover

Just don’t think simply recreating classic covers has anything to do with nostalgia bro he’s calling himself a goat this is his FIRST album. U think ppl clicking play on a nine vicious album are feeling NOSTALGIA cuz he did the BAD font like, these r the biggest albums and artists of all time obvi it’s tongue in cheek

Keep in mind this is an underground rapper who’s like 20 just got popping a month ago and hss today put out his first album. let’s just judge the music at this point imo if he gets deep in his career still doing this that’s dif

That’s cuz it’s his thing… it may be a series or just the gimmick he likes for his covers built I think having a consistent themes for ur covers like that in itself is creative, he’s calling himself a future legend by recreating goat classic covers. And for what it’s worth this cover esp looks good and he has Tupac lines and song names and interpolations everywhere on it. Which is p unique I can’t think of another project that did that
