once they showed it on her wrist i was like oh yea shes f***kked cus we found out security lead was lying. " i love my nutribullet"

  • Big cheese. It was an enjoyable time but there was some deliveries that had me cringing. I think this would make for a great date night sort of film. Nothing terribly serious but enough drama for both parties to take something away from it. I also wasn’t wholly convinced on his smug/whatever sort of attitude. Especially when the bad guy shows up at the wake and main guy is in her apartment, thinking he could be better than her. Like I get he was stressed but she has one the biggest moments of her life the next day and she’s one of two people in your life. Idk the part rubbed me the wrong way. It was also apparent our main guy doesn’t smoke irl because he looked mad awkward anytime he was smoking.

Not bad, just a decent date night flick imo nothing terribly noteworthy but nothing that makes it BAD.

it rubbed me the wrong way too even though dude was in over his head. seems like hes a bit dejected and suppresses his frustration about not being able to self actualize. It's also kinda crazy he has no friends but seems like he lives a pretty lonely isolated life so I reckon hes...weird. She was right to be mad at him. But was he not wrong, we saw he played her piece at the end off the dome?

But yea fun as hell still.

thanks for mentioning your point about the smoking. What was he doing wrong? I didn't pay attention but I know its something people notice. On the Rewatchables pod Bill simmons and chris ryan frequently critique/praise actors and actresses who smoke on screen.

Thought this was just okay, felt very derivative of better movies. Something felt off about it, like the script material was great on paper but the execution put to screen left a lot to be desired. Think it would’ve favored a director with more style, or a better lead actor, he never really came across as stressed which made it hard to feel any stakes.

  • Sound design was easily the best part tho

He just looked like he didn’t know how to handle the cigarette lol kind of how I imagine a kid who only listens to Tyler (post flower boy) and only shops at urban outfitters would smoke a cigarette. He didn’t have that mother working a double at a restaurant or Ben Affleck movement about him when smoking lol

love this perspective! i felt like it was missing characters and certain relationships were rushed. like it all felt a little tooooooo neat? I love the lead but it felt like the characters involved were a bit too few.. idk though. It definitely did feel like other flicks.

Did anyone else find it weird how he didn't ever use gloves or seemed so naive to think this would work out?

  • This was solid.

I like how they handled the romance great chemistry. Dustin Hoffman was a riot. The actual robberies were probably the element I cared about least lol
