Every once in a while it saddens me to think this man really ain't here.
Even the interviews around this time you could tell he was seeing so much more than just hip hop. Only a certain type of mind can write joints like Blasphemy and White Man'z World. At only 25.
Mc Eiht's interview with Vlad (one of the only "non-fed" interviews) talking about 2pac really makes you just realize how much bigger of a mark he could've left on this world.
I love the OG mixdown of it because the guitar shines way more in the mix, thus creating a more somber tone
Also phenomenal writing, as with Blasphemy, and the Farrakhan speech sample at the end is just perfect, with the choir harmonizing in the back.
that track gives me chills and makes me sentimental man
The preacher want me buried, why? 'Cause I know he a liar
Have you ever seen a crackhead? That's eternal fire
Why you got these kids' minds thinkin' that they evil?
While the preacher bein' freaky, you say, "honor God's people"
Should we cry when the Pope die? My request:
We should cry if they cried when we buried Malcolm X
Mama, tell me: am I wrong? Is God just another cop
Waitin' to beat my ass if I don't go pop?
verse 2 is just perfect
Nobody and i mean nobody uses their platform the way pac did therefor he's the greatest.
He was truely for the people

I'm going to be honest, while he wasn't the most technically advanced, he excelled on something a lot of rappers don't, which is storytelling and emotion and just being much more relatable, and his versatility on topics from party anthems to serious, thought-provoking conscious stuff.
I believe Pac and B.I.G. are quite incomparable musically when it comes down to stuff like 7DT, because B.I.G. simply didn't make music like that.

2pac and Biggie dying are the biggest losses we ever had as a genre ever.

I mean their deaths impacted the game forever, I mean Jay-Z pretty much got as big as he did because he filled that gap.
His work ethic was insane
Was scared of going back to jail, put the battery in his back
He's starting to get underrated.
The 3 album run from MATW / AEOM / Makaveli is eclipsed by none in Hip-Hop history. Ambitionz is the greatest intro of all time.
All eyez will forever be my favorite album from pac because of how stacked it was, but Makaveli saw pac at his most furious and rawest.
I still get feels watching the To Live and Die in LA video, right in my set.
"Revenge is the sweetest joy next to getting p**** " classic s*** yall praise this lil fa@@ots like carti etc in 2021 yall f***ed lol
Never could sit through it cause it feels like the last swan song of someone suffering from mental instability and there's an eerie quality to it.
Classic album
One of the best albums of the genre, and one of the best albums of the 90s
One of the first full rap albums I ever heard front to back as well, my friend gave me a copied CD-R of it when I was like 9 or 10 and it blew my mind

Such an incredibly dark album too. Truly a masterpiece with some of the best music Tupac ever made.

When I first heard the intro it scared the absolute s*** out of me, had to actually stop it for a bit before I just felt like I had to play it again
blasphemy is one of the greatest songs ever made, as far as im concerned
his magnum opus
yep. not talked about enough. he was spitting so much game. that song to me proves why he was above so many others. no one but pac could make that song.

Blasphemy intro still the most spookiest thing I've ever heard.
