I'm going to say this bluntly. If you didn't like the witch, the chances of you liking the lighthouse are extremely slim to none. They are both period pieces, share similarities in the fact the characters speak an archaic version of the English language which annoyed most people who did not like the witch. It is about 100x more esoteric than the witch, at that, and while it is getting a lot of praise I can understand exactly why some people WON'T like it at all. Still worth seeing.
