Can we talk about the fact that those two tracks are some of the best hip-hop to be released this year? From the stunning thrilling visuals, the abstract lyricism to the otherwordly production culminating in the almost overwhelming chorus in the first song.. And let's not forget about the instrumentation on that glitchy outro.
Clipping continues to deliver some of the most interesting music ever out there and it's f***ing sad that they never got the recognition they deserve.

clipping suck. they are awful music for awful people too afraid to research a bit and find older rap music that is a little different but not available on their little streaming service. their gangsta boo or la chat or whoever features are tokenistic gestures to.... a crowd of people who should be jacking off to tool .

Butler's dope, Diggs is dope, both are very much talented black innovators imo. We'll agree to disagree on the quality of the work of the latter and just leave it at that ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

personally i think ish 50+ still innovating hip hop all these years later and barely even getting a nod from the 'awards' or even the blawgers shouldn't be left at that

shabazz are still getting written off as '*' whatever you want to insert on a lot of videos since black up because they've tried to mix up the fornula, and that's not even hokey sub pop fans that's black up dudes who don't have something in their mind that is 'forward-thinking' to point to. i thought last shabazz album was amazing and the inspiration ish got from his son on it bought wonders to it

I don't disagree. You know how internet-based critics of the caucasian persuasion can be when it comes to black art though

moving on from clipping. - differences aside - i just dunno how they went from black up being a 10 to slandering everything afterwards. i guess lese majesty still got it's rewards but i would rank that in my top 20 of the whole decade and it really got nothing
