No it's not, you're glossing over rap's mistreatment of women, especially black women.
I'm not glossing over it at all. Just seemed odd that you're claiming misogyny is the reason female rap classics aren't recognized, but the one female record that is MOST recognized is one that tackles the very issue of misogyny.

So because ONE woman is in the conversation as having a classic rap album disproves the fact that misogyny plays a big part in women not getting the recognition they are owed?
Not reading 10 pages yet but did anyone unironically say Lil Baby?
“If she say no once I won’t even touch her”
“If she wont f*** I won’t make her”
Etc
I disagree with this list quite a bit but what do you think?
This dumb b**** signed a male rapper
Why do y'all keep making threads with 'viral' in the title for tweets that barely have 1k likes...
Lauryn Hill has that wholesome image that today would be labelled "pick me" vibes cause she covers up, Kim/Foxy popularized the sexually charged yrics female rappers use today, and niggas show themselves out each time they say their music is "trash"

Sosa.Viral.Movie.In this b**** with the wooski.
so please don’t judge me for the following
fat b****es swallowing, skinny b****es modeling
Cause misogyny, that's why.
Whenever these type of threads come up I think, there’s been several female rappers that were respected and hailed in the past what’s the deal?
Then I see people say they never heard of classic albums like these and people mentioning they’ve only heard of Miseducation
I feel like as Hip-Hop has grown to be the #1 genre, one of the biggest things we’ve lost was respect and admiration of the cultures past.
Like Missy was t even that long ago
Y’all funny bro
