Lynch was so ahead of his time ....Also my god those final season 2 episodes
People had to wait 25 years for a follow up
this was sooo good why was that episode that good ? I need to start the movie now ASAP
Edit: also are the missing episodes essential for Season 3 someone said they may be addressed but I didn’t want to go looking and end up getting spoiled

Simply a masterclass in directing and writing, Lynch pushed the boundaries 30 years ago with that finale.
& no it`s not but make sure to check out FWWM
also why whole new season 30 years later
when i found out why i was legit shook and eventually saw how they used the passage of time in S3, it`s one of the coolest cinematic achievements

You should definitely watch FWWM and missing pieces before you start season 3

If you wanna get super dark you should peep Inland Empire, twin peaks S3 also has many genuinely terrifying moments

Yeah I don’t think I will either at least not any time soon... you’d think I’d be prepared knowing the subject matter going in but nope

The Return has some of the answers
Lynch brought back his weather report from the davidlynch.com days
apparently made a new youtube channel called David Lynch Theatre
(very in for some shorts and little meme vids?)
the videos have become progressively bluer
hope that means something might happen on there (but knowing Lynch... if something's going to happen he's going to just enjoy uploading more without anything happening for a few weeks lol)
Very maybe possibly dumb question plz don't laugh at me. I finally decided to get into this last night and watched the pilot, I was really enjoying myself up until the very end when the mom shoots up and starts screaming, was definitely not what I wanted to be watching at 2am. I'm very familiar with Lynch's other work so I sorta know what I'm getting into but does this get like, really scary?

There’s definitely some spooky/disturbing scenes but not enough or on a consistent basis that they should turn you off

supernatural?
supernatural?
i'd tell you but one of the best parts of Twin Peaks is seeing all of the elements and mysteries of the town come to life for the first time without any prior knowledge
Tim Hunter such a t.v. goat, didn't pay much attention to the name till I saw Hannibal and Mad Men later.
Just seen his director credits on "One Armed Man" one of my fave Twin Peaks eps and he also did the big reveal episode 9 in season 2. Wow! I always thought Lynch came back and did that one until I did the research. He also did '"Miss Twin Peaks" 😍
In a Facebook Live Q&A promoting The Return (2017) Kyle Machlachlan stated that the shot of Leland (Ray Wise) in "Arbitrary Law" screaming in the sprinkler water that appears like rain, is his favourite shot in the entire run of the show because it was so beautiful.
