so just coincidentally Coopers replacement (Dougie) was also already implicated in a massive insurance fraud Darth Coop was orchestrating and was ALSO married to Diane's cousin?

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA_zo3u8kRsyeah, it's a terrible terrible video. Completely ignoring Lynch's spiritual and emotional side. Sure, the commentary could be there but it's an extremely surface-level interpretation.
this reddit-post actually sums up my response to the video rather well

The whole mythology seemed to hit a new tangent once they started discussing tulpas and s*** or was that eastern mysticism already there?

I would have to rewatch the entire show and the video to meaningfully respond to you.
I think it was there the entire time but I'm not sure.
Only things I remember are that I disliked the video's childishly postmodernist approach towards art and the entire misunderstanding of Lynch in general.

exactly
I particularly dislike the built-in defence that anyone who dislikes his video is just upset about how it destroys the show's sense of mystery, that he's just too damn correct about everything. But the truth is that he's not the first person to view aspects of the show in this way at all, he is just the first to ignore all other aspects of the show and turn a meditation on violence, trauma and consciousness into some nebulous diatribe about bad TV.
So accurate

Seriously
whole thing is a mess.
I can't even be mad cause that is a fun voice to imitate lmao.

It is like talking to a brick wall. You have a theory about a Lynch show and you do not even accept any arguments against it. He probably would even say Lynch is lying if he told him he's wrong.

I mean in the third episode or so Cooper literally holds a presentation on Tibet, so
there's def a mix of many different kinds of mysticism/spirituality throughout, I think in the first two seasons it was mainly (pseudo-?)Native American mysticism tho.

spoiler... I think you have to consider this Diane was a tulpa too, so maybe it's a hint as to Bad Coop creating a "family" of Tulpas? Which brings up the question whether Naomi Watts might have been one too.
About the insurance fraud I never thought about too deeply, it was connected to Buenos Aires through Las Vegas I think, which was the location of Philip Jeffries - but I guess Bad Coop was there also to kill him and was behind the fraud as well? Tbh I always kind of considered that somewhat of a loose end just like Audrey, it was never completely clear to me either...
shooting was only supposed to start in a couple months tho wasn't it

"Bad Coop"
its Darth Coop
Finally finished my TP series 2nd watch on New Year's Eve while blasted on shrooms and it was nearly a spiritual experience
cannot remotely imagine how hard it would hit for the people that actually waited a quarter century
truly jealous
Love all the episodes in season three that end in musical performances
Those segments grow on me with every rewatch
Cozy asf
