u have weenies on twitter telling protesters and activists how change will come about. Ppl who are insulated from what happens and have no idea how activism works. It’s hilarious.

the point is americans are idiots. we so heavily intrenched in celebrity culture we look at them like gods and desperately use them as scapegoats and in acutallity they are brain dead puppets. I guess thats the whole point of this site and sites like it glorifying celebrity. i feed into it too obv. but im not oblivious to it like most. we elected a relaity tv star as president.

I don’t look at anyone as gods. When I was young my favorite artist was Wayne because I was a teen and didn’t care.

I now have a family and almost everything I do including the music I listen to and the artist i support are because I believe in them as ppl. When I lose that the music is no longer necessary for me personally.

So I don’t expect any artist to do anything. I don’t look for them for my socio political stances or information but almost every artist that I support monetarily has a message that I can teach my son.

I’m not holding nothing against any artist. They aren’t required to say or do anything. But my favorite artist of all time is Bob Marley and it’s not because his music is the best (most talented) but his message resonates with me as his lifestyle matched his message.

Sorry for being so long winded. This situation is just affecting me differently.

In all honesty, she is one of the main modern-day cultural appropriators when it comes to benefitting from black culture and giving back nothing in return. She should give back something, even if not at this moment, but we know she won't.

She doesn't deserve to even be famous. The only reason she even got fame is because of stupid f***ing little kids. It's disgusting that people were really caring about this bad behaved juvenile at one point. Perfect example of someone who has never and will never contribute anything to society but will still be rich because "shes entertainment".

    Disgusting

To be quite Frank, it doesn't matter if they're truly in it or not. They're still bringing attention to it through their platform.

you're not wrong about this but I think a good amount of the criticism that normal people (not the idol worshipping weirdos) have about celebrities is they really be the first to use things like race when it benefits them

rappers really are the first people in line to complain about racism when they don't win awards or companies don't want to do deals with them (Kanye Drake and even Tyler have done this), artists that aren't black will pick and choose what style they want from black art to make money. and these niggas be radio silent when black people really getting killed bruh

plus a lot of celebrities try to make themselves seem like social champions to get people to support them. it's not all people being celebrity obsessed (but a lot are, especially on ktt) celebrities do it on purpose cause they know people will trust them more if they think they're doing good, so they do a photo op, bail like 3 people out of prison and now they are all about prison reform

so if they have an obscene amount of wealth that's obviously good for you too

If I was a celebrity I’d be like Cole, I’d be out on the streets and donate to freedom funds from the crib and then not say s*** online just to show niggas how dumb they look for abiding by social media s***

Imagine being a millionaire and not using your platform for good. It’s so easy to hire a media assistant they used your account.m
Pay them 50k a year. That’s literally a simple fix. They tweet on your behalf and run things by you when a situation like that occurs.
