  • Had this on repeat today and s*** I honestly think this might be his best ever straight bars track. In the conversation with 4pm, 5am and do not disturb for me at least. But he mastered the “lazy” flow with a biting edge on 2b1s. And the lyrics are very clever

Always am surprised how people don’t think drake is a lyricist and doesn’t bar up. I already know it’s because ppl
Don’t listen to his deep cuts like these. He’s so damn slick.

Me, I don’t JUDGE I’m just going by what the MATH IS (MATHIS, JUDGE MATHIS) numbers inflated

You were the MAN ON THE MOON now you just go through ya phases

    Casuals.

When they call him a pop act or an R&B singer it’s the worst

This track gets me in this headspace where I’m ready to take on anything. It’s in a whole other dimension because of the delivery of the bars

  • Nov 8, 2020

The subtle, laid back aggressiveness in his tone really makes this track for me. The beat is f***ing hard too and the build up compliments Drake's delivery so well.

What exactly is the bigger picture?

“Tbh. The whole song is just a massive blow. From the artwork to the beat selection, to how he draw a line between the deadbeat behavior of Drake and his dad, how well he set up the main blows, disrespecting his mother by name, dissing his dying friend and asking how much time he got left. That diss isn’t some surface level s*** they try to make it seem like. Pusha actually took his time because the diss is so strategic it’s scary.”

That’s from another thread when someone downplayed it to baby talk.

It’s really deeper than that. He’s drawing parallel lines to highlight Drake is just like his dad whether he want to admit it or not. He use to get angry at his mom for saying he’s just like his dad just to end up like his dad. Pusha pretty much drop small hints at that. Then he highlights Drake’s issue with marriage and family and saying well you feel a way about that because your dad walked out on your mom and she’s never found love or been married. She always come last and it triggers him. Pusha dug deep with that diss. That’s why I hate when it’s just downplayed.

See this is why people "downplay" it because this a***ysis of it so delusional it's crazy. Only thing true about that statement is the dissing 40 thing. That was the craziest part. Other than that:

    1. Drake is black himself the fact that it was an issue has more to say about people still with the weird colorist s*** with mixed people. But I'll give that to him too.

    2. The beat selection? He just took another nigga's beat... He had to piggyback off of Hov.

    3. The deadbeat thing is just straight up false. How was Drake a deadbeat? Once he knew the kid was 100% his he has been in his life. How was he a deadbeat? I mean, in the first place, how do you even question someone morally while wishing death upon an innocent man.

    4. How does Pusha know his mother didn't/doesn't have a partner? How does he know she is "always coming last"? She is the mother to one of the biggest musicians in the world you actually think she has been miserable all this time? Even if she has been again how the f*** would he know? He is just making s*** up. How is that not obvious...

He didn't dig deep with anything but finding that artwork. All he did was rehash a bunch of s*** we already knew about Drake because the nigga told us himself and idiots like you want to act like Push the Tea is some evil genius rap mastermind with incredible a***ytical skills but nah we just downplaying s***. Nah you guys are overplaying it.

Like I'll admit some Drake stans will downplay it like the nigga ain't lost. He did lose by not responding but Duppy Freestyle was definitely better. All that s*** you said wasn't even the reason why most people cared about the diss. It was literally 95% because of revealing one of the biggest artists in the world has a secret child. If we talking bars Drake had him. Ironically the most traditional og rapper tried winning with teeney bopper gossip instead of bars. Bigger picture my ass.

“All he did was rehash a bunch of s*** we already knew about Drake because the nigga told us”

“ I ain’t got no baby on the way”

    “Shorties keep claiming preggo”

Lol y’all still wanna look at it on the surface only because it’s easier to do that than to take the deep dive you’re intended to do because then you’ll have to admit pusha diss is more strategic and hard hitting than you’d like to give credit for

First of all the rehasing was obviously directed towards the marriage and family s*** you was claim he was being strategic, a***ytical and "digging deep" about. I don't why you are attaching that to his kid that makes no sense you can't be that dumb right??

Second of all what is even the point in quoting those lines? They were obviously said before he 100% knew he had a kid. Especially the preggo line is a good indication that Drake has every right to be spectical about women claiming he fathered their child because most of those cases have obviously been false.

This s*** too easy man...The Drake hate usually has no logic behind it.

Gotta keep it a bean Pusha don’t know that nigga family. Only thing that sticks is the 40 s***. Anything else is just talking.

If that’s the only thing that stuck then Drake wouldn’t had been in panic mode. The fact y’all making it seem like it’s nothing when even in 2020 he’s bothered by the diss is comedy.
