The girl who posted the tweet could have reported the video, told the girl to delete it, told her parents, told the school privately (and I'm sure the consequences would have been less severe) or she could have just ignored it.
Two children's lives are going to be harder for a long time because of a stupid video they thought was funny when it wasn't.
I don't see how you can say children should be allowed to make mistakes yet be okay with this.

How convenient. Telling her parents and the school board wouldn't get anything done.
How do you address this when students are on quarantine and their parents definitely enable that? Telling them that this is bad and they won't do it? This is the echochamber they were raised in, they're a reflection of their environment.
It's disgusting how when people are being looked down on in 2020 people will still find a way to enable it.

I empathize with them more because I remember how having this happened affected me more than thinking of how old they were when they did this.
