    And I said the boy went directly for the items which the store owner went in the defense of. Legally the owner was within his rights to protect his merchandise but he did not protect himself. There are actually pretty good grounds for a lawsuit here. That kid could be looking at a fat settlement check if he survives and sues the store owner

    He’s in stable condition already so he will survive. But no, you’d have to prove that the cashier knew his life wasn’t in danger. Since the cashier isn’t psychic, that’s not possible. Keep dreaming.

    I’m literally black. There was another video posted here where a black guy was mad that his girlfriend couldn’t pay for chips so he started assaulting the store clerk. Then the store clerk stabbed the man killing him. So many niggas coming out the woodwork protecting this man and giving him the benefit of the doubt. A grown ass man. But these 17 year old kids are evil and deserve to get murked cause they were tryna steal some vapes. Didn’t even physically threaten or touch the owner

    If a guy hits you, you have no idea if they’re armed and dangerous

    If two robbers enter your store with masks, you have some idea that they could be armed and dangerous

    In the split second you can’t calculate far enough to know what exactly is the right thing to do, so you’re likely to jump to self defense first.
