Why have I always got the vibe that Tyler was independent? Like I know I've heard he's with Sony and has been for most his career but why does it seem like he don't be moving like these other label niggas do?

I heard peggy say he just uses Sony for distribution, but I'm not really sure what all that entails. Anyone got information on this?

so he was popping pre-flower boy as an independent? cuz that's still a big f***ing accomplishment.

Because he was independent during the early Odd Future years.

Goblin was released through XL as part of a distribution deal, but was never actually signed to anyone for a while.

No Odd Future records was still Sony it just went defunct in 2016 and hes just been straight Columbia since.

Only album he released indie was B******. Goblin came out on XL, and everything else has been with Sony/Columbia whether directly or through Odd Future records
