its obviously this and nothing else
niggas unironically saying that tyler the creator thinks theres a target demo for insulin
nothing but facts in that tweet tho at least for material goods like clothes/cars etc.
i mean material goods shouldn't even be worth that much anyways, once you get down to factory level, the companies are simply just making a profit

even then, material goods are only worth the perceived value through marketing and hype tbh, actual manufacturing costs don't mean a lot
the economy is very artificial, in terms of this, it's mostly the company that is trying to reap the profit, charge as high as you can and make the item for the lowest cost possible

no shush chanel jackets are literally priced the way they are because you are buying a piece of expensive clothing for the purpose of wearing expensive clothes
youre being sold a lifestyle not just fabric sewn together
brands that try to sell you on just clothes dont make tens of millions of dollars in profit

I agree, that's why I added "marketing and hype" to the equation, in terms of things like shoes going for insane resale prices on stockx or designer clothing (which actually tend to use regular materials that aren't exotic/rare at all) and cost little to manufacture

gotcha didnt see edit
do people in this thread not understand how markets work?
This is why I'm not a fan of capitalism, is because of the s*** way markets work, that incentivizes f***shit like retail price gouging for items that are not worth that much
Tyler hates his own fanbase so much it's actually kinda sad, for both him and his fans
Seems like he just hates the corny side of his fan base that he gets associated with

I mean I feel you to an extent. I just know that I’ve done graphic design as well as Merch design on the side as a hustle and i tried to be fair with my prices in the beginning and niggas was playing with me and my homies lol
We stepped the marketing up and raised prices and niggas started shopping up.
S*** is kinda funny lmao
