he actually said something similar in his Flower Boy talk with Jerrod, it was something along the lines of "there's 2 types of people in this world, people who see the price of something and complain and there's people who see the price and work towards it"
Obviously there's some valid s*** to critique but overall I agree with the sentiment
we need more rappers who represent the proletariat and the working class. we have no voice.

Then I'd switch my point to be nothing can be overpriced cause it cost what people are willing to pay for.
A Michael Jordan rookie card is just a baseball card until someone pays a million for it ya know?
that’s true but when I say it’s overpriced, I mean that they are paying more than normal for that quality. u still right though

Niggas listen to their favorite rappers call them broke and p**** all day now it’s a problem
The way Tyler does it is extremely corny and weird imo, I’ll listen to young dolph call niggas broke all day but I am not trying to hear that from a nigga that dresses like a bellhop and thinks he’s better than other black people because he’s seen a Wes Anderson movie

i mean thats cool and all but it's the same s*** no matter how you slice it. Young Dolph built like Benson from Regular Show I wish I would listen to that nigga call me any type of name lmao
It's just the selective outrage itt that's killing me, there's legit criticisms to be had here, the discourse with @Fries for example, but niggas gettin mad at a rapper saying materialistic s*** is funny to watch

dis thread is about liking a tweet bruh
It's insane watching how he went from relatable teenager to rich snob over 10 years
You got dudes pulling up in one of these like

“Buy my s*** brokies I need that cash, quit b****ing you poor idiot”
And dudes with 3000+ posts on a Kanye fan forum go
“You know I really see where he’s coming from

I still don't think it's right to do classist things like denigrating people because they don't practice the same tier of consumerism
for an example, i think reps are a good alternative to the artifically-inflated sneaker market, i really don't mind people buying them, the "sneaker culture" has always been a mass front for hyper-consumerism as a religion
i personally don't choose to buy into the rep s***, but i understand why people are flocking to it en-masse and getting extremely popular among the youth, especially with tiktok
if you want nice shoes reps arent a bad option but you gotta be ok with being clowned its just nothing u can do abt that
im also not getting why ppl think this is out of character for tyler hes been flexing the size of his house since wolf
dudes always had eccentric taste and been outspoken about it
