I can’t believe how much this album has grown on me since my first listen. Still can’t place it over Igor or Cherry Bomb mostly because it’s such a departure from his usual topic and to a lesser extent, style so not as comparable, but still.

I'm expecting they'll push for it to be released ahead of time so fans are familiar with the music. Kendrick dropped DAMN. the Friday of weekend 1 and the only reason it went over well was the success of HUMBLE and his previous discography. I love Tyler but I don't think he has as much leeway as Kendrick

His fanbase (including me) is f***ing rabid. You see them know all that s*** word for word when he did those pop up shows a week after CMIGYL? And at Lolla a month later?

With all of the recent symbolism about him wanting to get rid of everything and burn all of the s*** from the previous era, I think it's safe to say that CFG was his last performance for the CMIYGL era. Especially if he ends up headlining Coachella, because I find it extremely hard to believe that he would perform the CMIYGL setlist + some older stuff again when he could use a platform like Coachella to promote new music (aka: he would be there for a reason). Even if he doesn't end up doing Coachella, I am confident that he will be bringing the next era as a headliner to some other festival; as he has done in the past years that he has dropped an album.
