I might be buggin here but I feel like Tyler always does trilogies with his albums.

And it always goes like this IMO:

The introduction of a new sound
A drastic shift in sound on the second album
And then a third album where he meshes the best elements of both sounds from the previous records.

Definitely the original 3 but Cherry Bomb always stands out from the rest for me, Flower Boy definitely felt like more of an introduction of a new sound imo, with IGOR developing it, feeling like a sequel pretty much

Cherry Bomb is the epitome of the unloved middle child when you think about it

maybe it’s a skit on the album. idk the call didn’t really get me excited for this but it will prolly make sense in the context of the album

I feel this. It’s just that a lot of the stuff people praise Flower Boy for I felt Cherry Bomb introduced with stuff like Find Your Wings and 2Seater and what not. But yea that middle child comparison is pretty accurate, I understand why Cherry Bomb gets the rep it does but those highs are high imo
