it's interesting though because tyler really cultivated an entire new fanbase with fb/igor. literally appealed to an entirely different type of fan which i'd say is pretty difficult for an artist to do. i don't think he did it intentionally though.

I think even this speaks to a diff group as well. I feel like his stuff pre FB/Igor rly spoke to like the internet edge lord group that probably f***s hard with Eminem and s*** like that. And then FB/Igor definitely sanitized the lyrical content and started appealing more to the hipster crowd that read p4k and s***.

I think content wise and music wise, there’s similarities here to his older stuff but like it’s so much less edgy, more mature while retaining a very raw sound. I’m not sure if this exactly speaks to the old Tyler fans or he has gone again and captured another new demographic with this one.
