Loud mixing is a decent complaint but this album has zero misses for me.

Cherry Bomb Tyler sounds lost musically.

I just really haven’t ever been a fan of that album outside of a few stand out tracks.

I just think people hold onto his old s*** cause of nostalgia for OF.

OF was cool but literally all of those artists got better after they left and did their own s***. At least the notable people.

Idk man, I think he has progressed much more musically, subject matter-wise, consistency on hitting certain moods and curating his album with greater focus and vision after Cherry Bomb.

Just my take of course

it’s weird to have his RAP album mixed in a way that doesn’t make the vocals as clear as possible. you get used to it fast and it’s not as jarring as cherry bomb but it’s an interesting choice

I mean Cherry Bomb is way better than them, thats one of his best albums

But just in comparison to Goblin B****** doesnt rely so heavily on horrorcore s***

Odd Toddlers, Pigs Fly, Parade, Slow It Down, Inglorious just all songs with no edgy s*** and then VCR/WHEELS, BLOW, B******, SEVEN still stand strong imo. I wouldnt compare it musically to anything past Goblin but it surpasses Goblin for me by a lot

Yeah and theres not nostalgia for Cherry Bomb, people hated it at the time are just now coming around to it because the production is amazing and the energy of the album is great. Definitely in the same tier as the albums after it rather than the albums before it imo

They said he wasnt relatable anymore, and i remember saying like bro u are a broke ass nigga nobody wants to relate to u but he figured out a way to translate it so it didnt just come off as all flexing

The cherry bomb videos were dope

F***ing young/perfect vids was crazy, find your wings video was dope, only eh one was death camp for me

Hot take: i dont think goblin is good but i dont think its horrible either it has some really good songs imo but im also just a super stan

Nah man that was essentially his debut album (if were counting b****** as his first which we usually do and he does too) With how wild Yonkers was both as a song and video and the Kanye co-sign there was good reason to expect more. I think some of the songs still hold up but overall that s*** is ass in hindsight. I still appreciate that album though cause it put me onto Tyler, like i’d heard how he put raps together and just fell in love with it

I am very confident in saying this is Tyler’s best album
