And waka flocka was doing moshes at colleges since 09, which is an extention of lil jon and the hot boys - and then it extended even more when he hooked up with machine gun kelly. Waka was always popular with white people but it exploded even more.

The only way i can be wrong on this is if Tyler is what introduced you personally to rap moshing and youre ignorant to the other facts, this isnt true at all

I mean the simple existence of people like Tech N9ne, System of the Down, Dead Prez, Rage Against the Machine, that one rando group rza had and more of alt rap weirdoes existing just years prior automatically nullifies that and theyre in the same lane of oddfuture until flower boy

Also idk why were making an obituary cut off at 2012 when travis wasnt around till 2013, tyler was still niche and underground in 2012, and others besides travis and tyler were already moshing of this era and one of the reasons someone like Rocky made Wild for the Night (and they were already moshing before that to Pretty Flocko part 1 and with raider Klan), Waka music is the embodiment of it all, Schoolboy Q made several songs for his 2011 mixtape for moshing, Danny Brown was always moshing after he left GUint, every time a "rockstar" obsession happens they made specifically moshing songs like Lil Wayne and the "Party like a Rockstar" song by dude i cant remember etc.
