What majority black city Tyler hot in

He’s popular within a specific demographic of young black people. But he’s not a rapper where you can point to a black city/neighborhood and be like yeah niggas f*** w Tyler there

I would say T.I. is from a different generation and was one of the hottest acts in black culture in the 2000s and at one point the face of hip-hop so comparing him to a newer act is weird, but you knew this and thought you could get this off.

Tyler's peak popularity is now so it makes sense to compare him to other acts.

Tyler isn't a star in black space. He isn't popular in black space. An example of a non hood star is drake or kendrick or cole or rocky. Tyler has never been in that world because his core fanbase was edgy white kids then went to artsy white kids and now he wants acceptance. There's literally threads about this on ktt2 when he made comments and I'm sure you were in them defending this nigga and pretending what he said was false but that's not the case. Get over it tyler irrelevant in black culture

U weird. You assuming black people are a hive mind to music and listen to one narrow genre of mainstream music that’s bumped in the clubs or barber shops. There’s so much more to the culture than that and it’s just a really shallow understanding of “black spaces”.

I think it's more accurate to say that Tyler went from having a chip on his shoulder and resenting these platforms because he secretly wishes to be accepted by him,

To receiving some accolades early in his career (won best new artist at the MTV Awards).

Realizing that the award wasn't a legitimate a sign of embrace, but rather a means to exploit his cult like celebrity status for views at the time.

Causing him to revert back to not caring, albeit genuinely this time... To where we are currently, where he once again seeks that acceptance and seems to be getting it, but at a point in time where there is little to no value to it at this point (as in it's not seen as much of an accolade at this point, both in general, and relative to his career and accomplishments).

I mean it’s fair to say he makes more award friendly music now but

I don't believe that a significant amount of gay and/or black people in ATL care for tyler tbh but I have no way of knowing for sure, just the content creators I follow from ATL never mentionned him nor reference him in any way shape or form (just my personal observation)

he'll be on tour soon, we'll see what his audience looks like then

ps: I don't see ATL on the tour

Y’all so weird. It is a little off he’s not doing a show in ATL but I went to the Tyler show in ATL way back in 2014 he brought out Father and all of them and idk maybe 20 percent of the crowd was black but this is 2014 also which is funny cause that’s when his fan base was a lot more white than now. My friends Dre Josh Tenna and Talea all black all gay and they’ve been fans of Tyler since the beginning I think it’s weird that this is even a discussion tho like it matters and yall arguing how black this mans audience is for like 15 pages lmao what the hell
