i was telling my coworker that the character is creepy i want some unsettling s***
Lyrics aside the production is A1 on both those albums
I fully agree. As an older Tyler fan I just want to know what makes the newer albums special. Feels like I’m missing something

I feel like the mask is gonna be like some metaphor for the face he put out to public compared to his actual vulnerable self that he only shows to his loved ones but the choice of the mask itself is more 'dark' to reflect the sound of the album thus the noir aesthetic and african inspiration on the samples and the hairstyle etc
Ngl, I don’t get the appeal of tyler post cherry bomb. I tried to like igor, but his vocals just didn’t do it for me. The lyrics seemed sappy, and I didn’t feel immersed at all.
I’d like to know what everyone liked about flower boy or Igor. What makes these albums a classic?
I feel like Igor is a lot more experimental than Flower Boy. I’m surprised it got embraced by the general public. Flower Boy just has beautiful hooks and bright, adventurous production.

I feel like they were moreso moments and if u didnt feel it at the time it could seem weird now. Like when Flower Boy dropped it seemed to at the perfect time. It def changed alot of areas of culture at the time.

its a disguise like ye wearing masks to hide from the public
I realize people prob dont see it this way and I get it cus im removing the context of his career but Cherry Bomb is an album that if it was made by an underground blog darling artist would be loved & acclaimed. I don’t think he gets his flowers for how singular that album is
Such a special album

curation, especially with igor
each song has all these carefully crafted & selected elements, every part of the beat, features, hooks, bridges, breakdowns, all that s***
no idea is dwelled on for too long, he's constantly moving to the next one to keep things fresh & memorable
no filler songs, better songwriting, more inventive production
the text got removed from the cover on streaming

I love Wolf—it's top 3 Tyler for me—but I feel like a lot of y'all niggas are saying its y'alls favorite based SOLELY off nostalgia ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
It’s my favorite because I feel like it represents who he is the most out of every album. He was a goofy kid that made silly songs but could get serious if he wanted to. This was also coming out at a time where people considered him devils spawn. He was figuring out his sound and how to get away from being known as the evil music guy. And he did a damn good job of doing it with wolf. He utilized his unusually deep voice perfectly with the production, which I feel like he tends to shy away from now. There’s so many stand out verses of him just rapping his ass off with beats to match it. Perfect album
as someone said here before i think it will be only the physicals that won’t have the text and streaming will sadly
hope i’m wrong tho
@blackefron the font is gone now (at least on AM, i might be earlee)
