I really need to find that interview of Tyler recounting the time Diddy crashed the Odd Future set at SXSW because he wanted to sign him, and Tyler only agreed to a meeting if Diddy could introduce him to Justin Bieber.
i feel like this is the first album where i didn't care for the visuals and stuff compared to the work
like i feel like the album contents and what it's talking about is much more interesting than this visual world hes created, theres a disconnect between the art direction and the actual sound of the music ive never experienced before as a tyler stan
i feel like tyler has always used the art direction to distract and this time the subject matter is far too loud for me to forget about it while watching a music video.
imo from first listen it sounds like what call me shoulda been. hes much more truthful and transparent which i like a lot because i absolutely hated this fake uber confident hetrohomo he made on cmiygl, like i really hated everything about that album lol
but im not decided on anything yet, i just wanna keep listening. on a positive note i think he's reached places personally he only go to on wolf, its also extremely heartbreaking to hear the end of like him after looking at tylers dad as this necessary evil to his creative energy, when in reality he wanted nothing more than to be in his sons life.
i think thats the best thing about this project, i still feel like tyler's biggest weakness is what to talk about since hes been rich for so long, but this time he spoke about some pretty heavy hitting topics. getting old, kids (why did he get a married woman pregnant like this nigga is a horrible person lmaoooooo) and paranoia of celebrity is super cool. im happy hes growing but i think he still has one more phase to hit before he's truly the guy.
none of these feelings are set in stone and i am still listening to this album, really enjoyed this one
Whether you love or hate tyler and no matter how you feel about this album, you gotta appreciate the craftsmanship. He's a rare breed as far as the mainstream goes.
Hey Jane is beautiful actually wow

What even is a hetrohomo??? I’ve never heard anyone use that term before
