Random final thoughts, summarized:
â˘Some of Tyler's best rapping and songwriting is on this album.
â˘This album being successful is a net positive. It's okay to care. It's not corny to be passionate. Hopefully up and coming artists can be inspired by that.
â˘The singing is still terrible. I know it's supposed to be endearing, but I can't stomach this s*** man lmao. Frank is right there nigga.
â˘Honesty is good for nuance (Case in point, Bonita's confession on Like Him)
â˘Speaking of Tyler's mom, she didn't add much to most of these tracks. Would've been better off on a very select few songs like the intro and Like Him, where her perspective ultimately upends all the notions that Tyler has had of his father.
â˘NOID had some interesting bones but could've been fleshed out some more. "The trappings of a celebrity" is not a very interesting topic with all that's going on around the world rn. Just feels detached, and it's not just him (a certain big beef that we'll not mention here).
â˘Darling I is really good. I hope it's the next single. Love it.
â˘Even as I'm not the biggest fan of Tyler in general, we need more folks like him and Travis in the game.
â˘St Chroma is a strong intro
â˘Sticky is a lunch table rattler
â˘Get a singing coach please
Agreed with everything but Frank is literally not right there LMAO
Need these 5$ tickets dafuq
You still in that line?
Played Judge Judy in the car and my homie took the phone and played Blowin Money Fast without saying a word
Dj Khaled may have had a point
Rah Tah Tah was right there
Sticky was right there
Yes
if i get a ticket i might really dip work ngl
not even clock out just pretend im still there
After a couple more listens, Noid is my favorite by far, perfectly structured and incredible sample usage. It is one of the few songs where Tyler's rapping doesn't overpower the entire track while the production waits for him to finish.
Also, Balloon & Like Him are officially auto-skips for me. Dont like anything about either songs. Disappointed Doechi got the look and spit that trash ass verse.
Horrible, awful take my friend
im noticing the same 'WHAT!" Vox being used throughout the album and I knew it was in one my drum kits so I found it
does anyone know where this sound originated from ?
she was 24 when what ?
She had an abortion already
rah tah tah doesn't fit on here imo
Very wrong that song really helps the flow of the album and its one if the best
Also directly fits in the theme because it introduces the theme of Tylerâs paranoia and childhood issues before he dives deeper into it
