Like him is the most special song in his catalog honestly haven’t gone back to this album in a minute due to being afraid to shed tears to this song again. I’m pretty sure I’ve shed tears to it each time I’ve heard it. I talk a lot of s*** about Tyler’s singing and songwriting but this is such a heavy track and it’s extremely impressive how he conveyed his emotions and laid them down to be so relatable. Haven’t felt a song like this in years I’m extremely grateful it exists
the last part where he's going into the so do i look like himmmmmmmm & hes riffing is one of my fav vocal moments

The lyrics are the highlight for me as well as his mother’s apology, very similar to what I’ve dealt with and I’m sure a lot of people can relate. Love the piano and his singing is much easier on the ear than a lot of his previous singing

I cried on this one and Tomorrow
This my ranking but upside down (and swap chroma with Flower Boy)

Great song but the subject matter is so random on this album
since the dust has settled… do y’all feel like this album has a strong, coherent overall concept like his previous work? because im not seeing it. i got the expectation that that’s what it would be from the marketing/italian fascist s*** goin on, but it just seems to be a collection-of-songs ass album, which is… fine ig, but considering his previous work something feels missing
im also over his style when it comes to hype songs, and really only enjoyed the smooth soul and jazzier joints on here
look:
that's big bro? how?
when y'all met, yesterday???

I agree, I feel like the album has a bit too much going on. Open relationship anthem, a song about black hair texture, celebrity paranoia, flex raps, a woman he like that died, another married woman he slept with and got pregnant, him not being ready to be a father, his father not actually abandoning him. So it doesn't really feel like an album
I feel similarly about Cherry Bomb. Doesn't really have a concept compared to his other albums, just a random collection of songs. But Chromakopia seems worse because of it to me for some reason
FB/IGOR
CB
Wolf
Chromakopia
CMIYGL
B******
Goblin
Nailed it!

It makes sense to me conceptually with its placement tbh
Tyler is sitting with the idea of having a child and it’s making him reflect things about his own childhood because he’d be worried about passing these negative self images on to his child, at least thats how it felt to me being right after Hey Jane.

Makes sense with the beginning sounding like a song being sung on a playground
Tyler make a full music video for your songs challenge IMPOSSIBLE
Username to post is palpable
its crazy that within the album solely on the tracks, there isn't much of a 'world' or big grand album cycle concept or narrative or experience
because visually this is probably my fav looking era so far. the black and white, the army stuff, the mask, the actual feel of the camera work etc.
This video made me realize how hard it would be if Tyler did a collab with a sports brand like Nike
I’d imagine the promo shots would look dope af, especially if they were shot in black and white like this video

Wait look at the video description, this isn’t the full video

patience… he’s shown his affinity for spots this year with the NFL collab and the Lewis Hamilton collab. Him and Shai gotta have work done

Feel like it’s only a matter of time; specially since he just had the collab with the NFL.
Full vid gonna be wild
