Dumbest s*** I ever done heard. Judging how big a current act is based on a tour?

Bro yes what the hell do you mean

If an artist can’t sell tickets and put butts in seats then clearly that’s not a good sign

That’s why I’m saying Youngboy is bigger than Tyler in certain sections on the internet, but in the real world Tyler is the bigger artist

That's probably the best way to tell how big a core fanbase is

You can't bot asses in seats

(this isn't saying any of the mentioned artists aren't popular because they obviously are)

Exactly, ticket sales are the best indicator of how big an artist is

The Rolling Stones — $115.5 million
    Harry Styles — $86.7 million
Weezer, Fall Out Boy and Green Day — $67.3 million
Eagles “Hotel California Tour” —$59.2 million
    Dead & Company — $50.2 million

2021 tours, I guess that's your list of the biggest artists out rn...

Youngboy is not selling out an arena tour.

Lil Baby is the biggest of the new gen and even he was having trouble selling out arenas

Lil Baby was the highest grossing touring act though.

3 of these are legacy acts, 1 is a joint tour between three bands, and yes Harry Styles is one of the biggest artists in the world right now.

If you’re a CURRENT ARTIST and you cannot sell tickets to your shows, there’s a problem

Artists job is to sell music not tickets.

Id rather be an artist who can sell tickets than sell music because you’ll make a lot more money selling tickets than music

    When/what are you referring to?

Because his 2021 tour that did well was a joint with Durk

    I was just gonna say.

Any artist would rather sell out a 1000 person room than get a million streams on a song

    Bro, what???

Artists make most of their money off of touring, so it’s literally in their best interest to sell as many tickets as they can

Of course they’re supposed to move units as well, but selling tickets is a big priority for artists

Merch and LIVE SHOWS are two completely different things

This might be the dumbest take I’ve ever seen on KTT
