I think that's part of the point though. Cart had a new album cycle and completely switched up his aesthetic. Tyler's been running with the same stale Mr Rogers mixed with Dr Suess aesthetic for several albums now.

I know how much work and love these artist put into their projects. So when people bash an artist whole aesthetic I kinda take offense. But folks itt are right, all artist are subject to criticism.

Its immensely scalable and a strong foundation for building an iconography around. A lot of aesthetics people like are already real estate - if you like Kanye associating himself with roman architecture and contemporary luxury then you ought to feed off of that and make your own thing, its quite a template to build off of anyway. Yeah Tyler's thing is boring now but its also not really for people who grew up skating and listening to B****** either.

I do hope that he eventually ventures into a realm that's a bit less fantastical and actually exists in the real world though - one of my qualms with Pharrell too. The best artists imo are those that are able to pin that intersection down seamlessly
